2017-2022 Government Action Plan against Homophobia and Transphobia, Pour un Québec riche de sa diversité, (“Québec, rich in its diversity”)

Like its predecessor, the second action plan promotes respect for the rights of sexual minority members and helps raise public awareness about the realities they face. Special attention is paid to the most vulnerable groups such as young people, the elderly, trans individuals and Aboriginals, as well as people living in regions and communities where fewer resources are available.

The plan establishes five priorities:

• openness to sexual diversity;
• respect for the rights of and support for sexual minority members;
• the creation of safe, inclusive environments;
• the adaptation of public services;
• the coherence and effectiveness of any actions taken.
