A birth plan is a document that you create. Since we know that much that touches and surrounds assisted birth is based on cis-heteronormative norms emphasizing the idea that giving birth automatically equates to motherhood, the LGBT+ Family Coalition wanted to make sure there would be a form designed for you so that you can access respectful care when you give birth.
